My second painting in the hayfield today. I especially like the strong contrast between field and forest, which drove this painting. I'm told the hay will be hauled away soon, so I'll have to "make hay [paintings] while the sun shines"!

ReplyDeleteI tried to revise this since I wrote it late and I thought it didn't come out right. But wound up deleting instead. I like the contrast and the zigzag lines that make it look like cut hay. Also liked the comment about "making hay while the sun shines." I got a chuckle out of that.
DeleteThanks M.D.! I always appreciate your comments!! Looking forward to your next painting...another moonscape?
DeleteHi Melle, I love how you're painting up a storm!! All your work is uplifting, full of life and such a joy to look at!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Azra! I was really missing painting actually, after some kind of flu(?) went slowly through our household. I really needed to paint! Your tropical paintings really lifted my spirits!
DeleteYou are funny - hay while the sun shines!
ReplyDeleteI love the backlighting hitting the hay bales.
Pouring rain today, of course! Thanks Julie! You have such control over light in your paintings-it's always there and always special.
DeleteI agree with you on the strong contrast, beautiful landscape with a lovely warm hay color.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jane! I love how gutsy your work is...I'd like to go in that direction myself.
