Ultimate Painting!

Sold!

Finally, the Ultimate Painting Competition! Wow, what a blast! I was nervous enough that my hand was visibly shaking. Really enjoyed the high energy music and the great vibes from the crowd. I'm told I came close to moving on to the final round, and really appreciate the chance to paint with a great group of artists and meet some wonderful people. If you are the lovely person(s) that bid on my painting, thank you so much!

We had to hit the road so I missed the final vote count. Jennifer Kennedy and Tracey Marshall both did a great job. And everyone made it a super night!

Aloha!

    1. Thank you! I let the paint do what it wanted, so wasn't sure what was going to happen!

  2. That cloud is amazing! Very nice colors too. What size is it: The Ultimate Painting Competition sounds like a lot of fun. How does it work?

    1. Thanks Melanie! I think it's 18 x 20 but I forgot to check. It may be slightly larger. Two rounds of 6 painters go for 20 min painting whatever they want but can't have any references. Audience votes and the winners of the 2 rounds have a paint-off. You can only bring your paintbrushes; they provide everything else. And then a silent auction. Great fun to watch too. They are happening all over the country!

  3. You should be proud of what you accomplished, Melle! These gutsy moves will cause you to grow leaps and bounds in your work.. Your painting is absolutely beautiful. Surprised you weren't in the final round!

  4. Thank you Chris! The nice thing is that the people who voted for me were strangers! Next time I need more peeps! It was a great all around experience and I really did learn a lot in "training" for it. Especially since it had to be strictly from memory and had to find a way to get the essentials in and the contrast.
