Coots at Lake Crabtree
These American Coots (Fulica americana) tend to be constantly moving. This was my first go at painting them, purely plein air. Cute coots!

You did a nice job on the water and the coots considering they probably weren't staying still for you. I have a photo of ducks similar to this, but didn't quite know how to do the water. The water is reflecting the surroundings; it's not just blue. Thanks for the inspiration.
